Spoke to John who agreed to help us load a u-pack truck for 3-4hrs. Quoted us at $372 in cash, to which I agreed. Everything is set up for the move but A-1 movers never show up. John finally calls back and says he can't do it and just hangs up. I would not trust this company since you most definitely CANNOT count on them. No class and not trustworthy. Couple of morons is all you'll get here.
It's really a shame that a company preys on senior citizens. This company stole half of my parents belongings. They blackmailed them into putting the money in a private savings account. My parents were informed by the bank that this was not legal. They called John Dash and informed him of this and he stated that if they didn't transfer the money they wouldn't get their belongings back. He went on to say that he would lock it up and they would never get it.They were so scared. They transferred the money. Their belongings were delivered to a storage unit as planned but only half of their belongings were delivered. My parents are way to old to have to endure this type of stress. They just wanted to move to be closer to their family. They called the police, the magistrate and the IRS. This company needs to be exposed. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I always try to support family owned businesses like A-1 Moving myself because not only does it keep the "franchise" companies from having the ability to set their own prices, and you end up paying way more than you should but also because I feel you get a much more personalized service where they truly go above and beyond and I can say that A-1 Moving does exactly that.
