I see Dr Armstrong at the Somerset office. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating (while waiting to be called in today, one receptionist was working diligently with a patient to determine why her insurance wasn't covering some expenses.). I feel Dr. Armstrong is quite knowledgeable, thorough, and considerate. Yes, wait times can be excessive. I myself waited over an hour during one visit. However, I have always been able to obtain appointments within a reasonable amount of time. I'd much rather wait in the doctor's waiting room with a book than wait months to get an appointment time.
Just a heads up for those who have any type of trouble with your insurance and you end up owing for a visit; the billing department does not work with you in the least, and the lack of cooperation is terrible. They would not send the bill to the new insurance and they want instead for me to pay out of pocket. They will not see my child, who is having a lot of trouble hearing and needs seen soon, until it's paid in full. NO payment arrangements! Time to find someone else.
Over an hour waiting to see ANYONE for a SCHEDULED appointment.... would give negative stars if possible. DON'T GO HERE!!
Staff is incompetent, especially Judy, who never returns calls, although she charts that she has. Wait times to see the doc are ungodly.
Some of the doctors are incompetent in my view. Seem to care little about the extraordinarily long times patients have to wait. The almighty dollar is more important than a patients comfort. Their staff is treated like a herd of cattle.
